17B7 PXA Anaplastic WHO III (Case 17) H&E 60X 5 best
17B7-11 There are multiple high-grade features. The mitotic index is increased at 13/10HPF; exuberant microvascular proliferation; and abundant pseudopalisading and geographic necrosis are all identified. The findings of eosinophilic granular bodies as well as vacuolated and xanthomatous appearing cells raise the possibility that this malignant neoplasm arose from a pleomorphic xanthoastrocytoma (PXA) and should be viewed as an anaplastic PXA Grade 3.
