Case 18 History ---- The patient is a 14 year old girl with a history of seizures. Imaging studies revealed a large cystic and solid temporal lobe mass. ---- 18A1-3 Sections reveal a cellular glial-appearing neoplasm with moderate to marked nuclear pleomorphism. The tumor cells range in appearance from astrocytic with rounded to elongate cytoplasmic processes and mildly hyperchromatic nuclei to mesenchymal-like with intersecting fascicles of spindled cells.
