18A5-8 Some of the tumor cells are multinucleated and bizarre. However, mitotic figures are hard to find and there is no evidence of necrosis or endothelial proliferation. In most areas, the tumor appears solid. Invasion of adjacent brain parenchyma is seen focally. Some of the tumor cells have clear foamy cytoplasm, consistent with xanthomatous astrocytes.
