Case 12 History ---- The patient was a five year old girl with tuberous sclerosis and a previously resected subependymal giant cell astrocytoma. Operative procedure: Craniotomy for excision of second intraventricular tumor. ---- 12A1-3 Sections of the "ventricular tumor" show a neoplasm consisting of large polygonal cells that have abundant glassy eosinophilic cytoplasm and large eccentrically placed nuclei. Perivascular pseudorosettes are also seen. Mitoses are very rare.
