Case 14 History ---- The patient was an 11 year old girl with an intraventricular brain tumor. Operative procedure: Resection ---- 14A1-3 Sections of the "intraventricular lesion" show a subependymal giant cell astrocytoma that is composed of sheets of large cells with abundant, glassy, eosinophilic cytoplasm and large, irregular nuclei with intranuclear cytoplasmic invaginations, in a fibrillary background. Prominent pleomorphism and spindling of cells are seen in some areas.
