3A2-5 The tumor cells are spindled to epithelioid or gemistocyte-like and contain moderate to abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm with vesicular nuclei. There is mild to moderate pleomorphism within the tumor cells in the absence of mitoses and necrosis. Prominent delicate processes of tumor cells often surround the vasculature but do not have the reproducibility or exact appearance of perivascular pseudorosettes of classical ependymoma.
