The lesion shows neoplastic cells embedded within and separated by acellular areas of fibrillary processes. The neoplastic cells have round to ovoid nuclei with smooth contours and mild shape irregularities. They have open stippled chromatin and indistinct cell-cell borders. Mitoses were not observed.
