2B2,3 The leptomeninges are smooth, glistening, and transparent, but underlying these are multifocal, dark gray-brown lesions involving all areas of the superficial neocortex (bilateral frontal, temporal, parietal, and occipital lobes). The sulcal-gyral pattern appears mildly effaced, consistent with mild cerebral edema.
