Case 8 History ---- The patient is a 59 year old man with history of metastatic melanoma, who presents with a brain lesion. Operative procedure: Right frontal craniotomy for tumor excision with intraoperative MRI. ---- 8A1-4 The tumor is composed of sheets of epithelioid cells involving the leptomeninges and subarachnoid space that diffusely infiltrate into the underlying brain tissue as small nests and single cells. Astrocytosis is seen in the adjacent brain.
