Case 9 History ---- The patient is a 65-year-old woman with a history of melanoma and recent diagnosis of clonal B cell population identified in the right axillary lymph node on fine needle aspiration. She presented with a left parietal occipital heterogeneously enhancing mass along with significant cerebral edema. She was treated with steroids. A recent CT showed a 2.3 cm right upper lung nodule. Operative procedure: Left parietal occipital tumor resection. ---- 9A Sections of the "left parietal occipital" biopsies show a cellular tumor with abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm, and large nuclei with prominent nucleoli and moderate nuclear pleomorphism. The mitotic rate is high.
