Washington University Experience | NEOPLASMS (METASTASES) | Meningeal | 14B1 Metastasis, lung (Case 14) dura H&E WM
14B1-4 Sections show a malignant neoplasm with features of carcinoma involving dura and underlying brain parenchyma. The neoplastic cells form nests and can be seen traversing fibrous dura as long cellular trabeculae that are lined predominantly by single-layered tumor cells forming lumens. In other areas the neoplastic cells show foci of sheet-like growth, cribriform pattern, tubule formation, and small nests with cohesive cells. (H&E)
