Case 46 History ---- The patient is a 54-year-old man with brain metastasis, thought to originate from his known lung primary diagnosed six to seven months ago at outside hospital. Operative procedure: Suboccipital craniectomy for cerebellar tumor. ---- 46A Sections of the brain lesion show nests and sheets of neoplastic cells with round to oval nuclei, moderate eosinophilic cytoplasm and focal mucin. Mitoses are prominent. Interspersed zones of necrosis are also evident.
