Case 48 History ---- The patient is a 52-year-old woman with a large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma of the lung pT3/N0/MX who presents with a left cerebellar mass. Operative procedure: Left retrosigmoid craniotomy for tumor excision. ---- 48A Sections of the brain tumor resection show a neoplasm composed of abundant geographic signs of necrosis with nests of cribriform viable tumor cells that are composed of cells with moderate cytoplasm, round to oval nuclei, and stippled chromatin. This lesion is similar in morphology to the patient's prior resection.
