57A1 Metastasis, lung (Case 57) H&E 5
Case 57 History ---- This is a 65-year-old female with a recent diagnosis of adenocarcinoma of the lung. The patient also was noted to have a sacral lesion. Brain MRI dated 2/2019 shows multiple enhancing brain lesions, compatible with metastatic disease with a small amount of edema surrounding the larger lesions. Operative procedure and findings: Craniotomy for tumor resection. ---- 57A1-3 H&E stained sections of a left cerebellar tumor show an adenocarcinoma with focal glandular formation, high nuclear to cytoplasm ratio and frequent mitotic figures.
