62A Metastasis, Lung adeno (Case 62) H&E 10X
Case 62 History ---- The patient is a 65-year-old man with history of lung cancer metastatic to brain. ---- 62A H&E sections show a moderately differentiated metastatic adenocarcinoma with cribriform and glandular architecture. The cells are moderately pleomorphic with abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm and large oval nuclei with prominent nucleoli. Mitoses are brisk. There are frequent mixed inflammatory cell infiltrates. There is extensive necrosis. The tumor has a sharply demarcated border with adjacent brain parenchyma.
