Case 72 History ---- The patient is a 78-year-old man with a history of lung squamous cell carcinoma and clear cell renal cell carcinoma. He now presents with newly identified brain lesions. The brain MRI shows a small right temporal lobe lesion and a 5 cm left temporal lobe lesion. Operative procedure: left temporal craniotomy for tumor resection. ---- 72A H&E stained tumor shows solid sheets of neoplastic cells which are large, polygonal with eosinophilic cytoplasm, hyperchromatic nuclei and prominent nucleoli. A significant amount of necrosis is present.
