9A1 Metastasis, prostate (Case 9) H&E 10X
Case 9 History ---- The patient is a 65 year old man with a cerebellar tumor. Operative procedure: Right sided craniotomy for tumor excision ---- 9A1,2 Sections of the "cerebellar tumor" show a metastatic adenocarcinoma with well-formed glands arranged in a prominent cribriform architecture. Comedo-necrosis is abundant. Individual tumor cells are relatively uniform with eosinophilic cytoplasm, round nuclei and prominent single nucleoli. Scattered calcifications are present. Mitoses are numerous.
