1A1 Central Neurocytoma (Case 1) CT 1
Case 1 History ---- The patient was a 47 year old man who presented with new-onset left sided facial droop. Approximately one week prior to admission, he became dizzy and fell. He experienced nausea and vomiting. He presented to an outside hospital where a CT scan demonstrated an intraventricular mass. Of note, he was also diagnosed with labyrinthitis, likely viral, thought to explain his vestibular symptoms. MR imaging performed at BJH showed an enhancing intraventricular mass in the right lateral ventricle with hemorrhage. Operative procedure: Right frontal craniotomy for tumor removal. ---- 1A1-7 Imaging studies. ---- CT scan in this patient showing hemorrhage/calcifications.
