1B2 Central Neurocytoma (Case 1) H&E 9.jpg
1B2-4 A typical pattern of central neurocytoma showing a sheet-like proliferation of a round, extremely regular population of neoplastic cells, separated by a delicate neuropil background. In some areas, perinuclear halos are appreciated. The tumor nuclei have finely stippled chromatin and occasion small chromocenters. Mitotic activity is inconspicuous, but occasional apoptotic cells are identified.
