4B4 Neurocytoma, central, atypical (Case 4) H&E 4
4B4-7 The tumor is composed of monomorphic round cells arranged in sheets and divided by thin vascular channels. The tumor cells have scant eosinophilic cytoplasm and a round nucleus with stippled chromatin pattern. In some areas, the tumor cells seem to be arranged around acellular neuropil (rosettes). Scattered rare mitotic figures are seen. However, microvascular proliferation is not seen. A few enlarged individual cells are noted. (H&E)
