Sections of the right parietal lesion show a glioneuronal neoplasm consisting of columns of oligodendroglia-like cells oriented perpendicular to the cortical surface in a pale mucinous to eosinophilic matrix with microcystic areas. There are scattered "floating" neurons in these spaces. (H&E)
