12B1-3 Sections from the right parietal tumor reveal multiple fragments of cortex and underlying white matter. There is a mildly hypercellular predominantly intracortical proliferation of cells with minimal nuclear atypia and clear perinuclear halos. In some areas of cortex, "floating neurons" are seen, consisting of ganglion cells surrounded by pools of mucin.
