12B4,5 Focally, there is increased cellularity and bizarre multinucleated tumor cells associated with moderate nuclear atypia, but minimal mitotic activity. The tumor has a patterned nodular appearance, where the stroma is mucoid and oligodendroglioma-like cells are arranged in ribbons and perivascular arcades. Mitotic figures are hard to find. The tumor cells show evidence of extension into underlying white matter at least focally.
