Washington University Experience | NEOPLASMS (NEURONAL) | DNET | 12G DNET, atypical (Case 12) Ki67 2.jpg
A Ki67 1 stain demonstrates an increased proliferation index, which focally reaches as high as 8%. We did not observe eosinophilic granular bodies as might be expected in a PXA. The morphologic features are consistent with a DNT, WHO grade I with atypical features (increased cellularity, white matter invasion and an elevated proliferation index). The patient was alive without recurrence 8 years later.
