2008 Specimen: ---- Occasional bizarre or atypical multinucleated giant cells are seen. However, there are extensive degenerative changes, consistent with prior radiation injury. These include markedly hyalinized vessels and large zones of coagulative and fibrinoid necrosis. There is no definite microvascular proliferation or pseudopalisading necrosis. (H&E)
