The tissue is involved by a moderately cellular lesion that includes relatively well demarcated mucin-rich patterned nodules, with numerous small tumor cells containing round regular nuclei, delicate chromatin and clear perinuclear halos. Many of these cells are arranged around capillaries or axonal bundles, creating a patterned appearance.
