25B1,2 Sections show cortex and white matter involved by a low-grade neoplasm with increased cellularity in a nodular pattern that is comprised primarily of cells with round nuclei and dense chromatin. Acellular zones containing mucinous appearing material are seen between clusters and cords of cells that occasionally contain isolated neurons. Mitotic figures are not identified.
