This is a glioneuronal tumor with neoplastic cells separated by coarse neuronal processes to form columnar microcystic spaces. Many floating neurons, which show no satelliting glial cells or dysmorphic features, are found within the spaces separated by abnormal neuronal processes. The glial nuclei are small and round without significant mitotic activity or atypia. The adjacent portions of brain show no malformation or other abnormality.
