1B4 DIG (Case 1) H&E 5
1B4-6 Largely distinct from the 'desmoplastic' pattern is a second pattern with more neuroepithelial character, in which epithelioid morphology and glassy cytoplasm are common; multinucleation and karyomegaly are often observed, and a fibrovascular component is more limited. Focally, a sharp and distinct interface with brain tissue is noted. Mitotic figures are not frequent, but are observed occasionally (<1/10HPF).
