NeuN stains scattered tumor cells in a several areas, and highlights native entrapped neurons in a few others, some of which are densely infiltrated by tumor. In some areas there are NeuN labeled likely entrapped normal pyramidal neurons and mostly unlabeled tumor neurons and neurites (NeuN IHC).
