17B1 Ganglioglioma (Case 17) H&E 14.jpg
17B1-5 This is a mildly hypercellular low grade glioneuronal tumor with a somewhat nodular and solid appearance. The tumor contains enlarged and irregular dysmorphic neurons. No 'balloon' or 'free-floating' neurons are identified. The glial component has an apparent admixture of astrocytic cells. Mitotic figures are not readily identified. Necrosis is not present. In some areas of the tumor, the background vasculature is prominent. (H&E)
