8F1,2 Immunostaining for glial fibrillary acid protein (GFAP) not only highlights the edges of the Rosenthal fibers and stains portions of the eosinophilic granular bodies (arrows, 8F2), but also highlights the bipolar cell population, reactive astrocytes, and occasional large cell forms.
