Case 5 History ---- The patient was a 20 year old man who presented with headache and ataxia. An MRI study demonstrated enlargement of approximately two-thirds of the left cerebellum with associated megalencephaly. ---- 5A1-3 Orientation of the neurosurgical specimen may be difficult without normal landmarks. In this specimen the superficial vacuolation and dysplastic granule cell layer (arrow) help.
