Other parts of the tumor contain strongly labeled neurons, neurocytes and ganglion cells. The neuron processes appear to originate from neurons within the tumor. (NF IHC) ---- Unfortunately Not Shown but reported on this outside case: A subset of the tumor cells are strongly immunoreactive for GFAP, particularly those in perivascular foci. A stain for Ki-67 reveals a very low labeling index.
