The Ki67 proliferation index is 5-10%. ---- Comment: The collective morphological and immunohistochemical features are consistent with diagnosis of paraganglioma with an elevated mitotic rate, WHO grade I. While an elevated Ki67 proliferation rate (more than 3%) is considered a factor for risk stratification of sympathetic paragangliomas, its significance for intradural paraganglioma is not entirely clear. The minimal contribution of sustentacular cells to this neoplasm is unusual.
