7C1,2 Sections show a well circumscribed, relatively well-encapsulated tumor with a zellballen pattern; the tumor nests are divided by thin fibrovascular septae. The tumor cells have moderate to abundant clear to pink cytoplasm with round to oval nuclei with granular chromatin and sharp nuclear borders.
