Scattered very rare S100 positive cells are seen, with morphologic features consistent with sustentacular cells. ---- Ancillary studies (not shown): The Ki-67 labeling index is low. Tumor cells are negative for GFAP. The morphologic and immunohistochemical features are consistent with a diagnosis of paraganglioma, WHO grade I.
