The neuronal aspect consists of neurocytes with round nuclei, finely granular chromatin, inconspicuous nucleoli, and scant cytoplasm within a microcystic, mucinous matrix. These cells are associated primarily with perivascular pseudorosettes and neurocytic rosettes consisting of delicate fibrillary material consistent with neuropil. (SYN IHC)
