There is a collection of hyalinized vasculature. (H&E) ---- Not shown: Other areas show more oligodendroglial-type cells with round, regular nuclei, crisp nuclear membranes, and perinuclear clearing in a myxoid to myxo-hyaline background. There is prominent microvascular proliferation arranged in a well-developed "garland" architecture. An immunostain for Ki-67 shows an overall low proliferation index, reaching up to ~2.2%.
