Case 11 History ---- The patient is a six month old boy with a tumor in the atrium of the right lateral ventricle which is infiltrating into the basal ganglia and surrounding white matter. ---- 11A1-3 Sections show a highly aggressive neoplasm. It forms numerous small papillary fronds that have a fine connective tissue core and several rows of malignant epithelial cells, as well as solid islands of highly atypical cells. The tumor cells show marked nuclear anaplasia and high mitotic activity. Geographic areas of coagulative necrosis are seen.
