Washington University Experience | NEOPLASMS (NON-GLIAL NON-NEURONAL) | Choroid plexus papilloma | 12F1 Choroid plexus papilloma, atypical (Case 12) Ki67 1
12F1,2 An immunostain for Ki-67 highlights 11.4% of the cells at three discrete areas with highest Ki-67 positivity, most of which are located in the areas where the papillae are crowded. Due to focal increase in mitotic activity (2/10HPF) and relatively high Ki-67 index, we chose to classify this tumor as atypical choroid plexus papilloma, WHO grade II. The relationship of the tumor with the base is unusual but is not accompanied by any features of a higher grade lesions (i.e., choroid plexus carcinoma)
