Case 13 History – Atypical CPP ---- The patient is a three year old boy with episodes of emesis for two months and progressive gait disturbance for several days. Brain MRI showed a 9.1 cm partially solid partially cystic mass centered in the right ventricular atrium with mass effect on the cerebral aqueduct resulting in obstructive hydrocephalus. There is also extensive leptomeningeal enhancement involving the brain and spine. Operative procedure: Craniotomy with tumor excision. ---- 13A1-3 MRI examination shows a variegated intensity on FLAIR exam (13A1), hyperintensity in a T1-weighted contrast administered scan (13A2) and isointensity in T2-weighted scan with contrast (13A3).
