18A0 Case 18 History
Case 18 History ---- The patient is a 12-year-old female with a history of decreasing school performance since September of 2010. Two weeks ago the patient developed severe headaches that were associated with intermittent blurring of her vision in all visual fields, and intermittent nausea and vomiting. Subsequent brain MRI demonstrates a 2.4 x 2 x 1.5 cm lesion with contrast enhancement which is centered in the temporal horn of the right lateral ventricle. Radiological diagnosis: Choroid plexus papilloma. Operative procedure: Craniotomy with resection of right mesiotemporal intraventricular tumor.
