1C1,2 Immunohistochemically stained sections show strong cytoplasmic reactivity for beta-human chorionic gonadotropin (B-HCG). There was strong plasma membrane reactivity for placental alkaline phosphatase (PLAP), and focal cytoplasmic and membranous reactivity among cytotrophoblastic cells for epithelial membrane antigen (EMA). No tumor cell reactivity was observed for alpha fetoprotein (AFP) or c-kit.
