4B1-4 Microscopic sections reveal a germinoma associated with a prominent inflammatory/granulomatous infiltrate. ---- 4B1 In some areas classic germinoma histology is seen. Large polygonal to epithelioid tumor cells bear abundant clear to amphophilic vacuolated cytoplasm; sizable vesicular nuclei contain one or more prominent eosinophilic nucleoli. Mitoses in this population are easily identified.
