Case 5 History ---- The patient is a 20-year-old man with several months of short term memory loss and confusion. MRI from 02/2016 showed a 4.6 cm heterogeneously enhancing expansile mass involving the lateral and third ventricles resulting in hydrocephalus. There was extension into the suprasellar space to involve the hypothalamus, optic chiasm and bilateral optic tracts with displacement of the pituitary stalk. Operative procedure: Endoscopic third ventriculostomy. ---- 5A1-3 MRI studies shows hyperintensity with FLAIR (5A1), patchy enhancement with T1-weighted scan with contrast (5A2) and patchy hyperintensity in the T2-weighted contrast administered scan (5A3).
