Case 3 History ---- The patient is a 36 year-old woman who initially presented with progressive headaches and on MRI was found to have an enhancing pineal region mass and obstructive hydrocephalus. In 8/2011 she underwent ventriculostomy and biopsy that showed a pineal parenchymal tumor of intermediate differentiation (S11- 34668). Then the tumor is being resected/debulked. Operative procedure: Posterior fossa craniotomy. ---- 3A1-4 MRI studies: 3A1 The pineal mass is hyperintense in this FLAIR image.
