Case 4 History ---- The patient is a 42 year old man with a pineal mass identified 4 1/2 years ago. He initially refused surgery, but recent progression necessitated a resection. ---- 4A1-3 Sections reveal a highly cellular neoplasm composed of sheets and large lobules of rounded to epithelioid cells with open chromatin, variable prominent nucleoli, and moderate quantities of clear to amphophilic cytoplasm. There are occasional mitotic figures. (H&E)
