6B1 Papillary Tumor Pineal Region (Case 6) H&E 1
6B1-4 This is a moderately cellular neoplasm with a prominent relatively solid and papillary growth patterns. Within the cores of the papillae are hyalinized blood vessels and occasional structures resembling perivascular pseudorosettes. The tumor cells are moderate sized and epithelioid with round to oval nuclei, delicate chromatin, and moderate quantities of clear to eosinophilic cytoplasm. Occasional clear vacuoles are seen in the cytoplasm. Mitotic figures are hard to find and there is no evidence of tumor necrosis.
