The tumor nuclei in general are enlarged, slightly irregular, round to slightly elongated, have finely-stippled to coarsely speckled chromatin, and demonstrate prominent nucleoli. Mitotic figures are abundant; in a randomly chosen area, 17 mitoses were identified in 10 HPF.
